A cute and quirky link sent to me by my Wellesley little sister, Jo Hunter. She is from South Africa and is brilliant. The two may not be related though. But don't trust her with your MRI machine...she has a notorious track record.

Criseyde/Cressida (of Troilus and...) reportedly had a unibrow. Apparently it was a mark of beauty in ancient Greece!

In pre-Meiji Japan, blackened, filed teeth were a sign of beauty for women. The lesson here is...uh...

Yeah, but the narrator describes it as her one flaw. That and, um, unfaithfulness.
